Jody Ann Griffitts (Bunce), age 44, of Moberly, MO, passed away at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, surrounded by family on November 24, 2024.
Jody was born on December 7, 1979, in Moberly, MO, to Ronald and Patricia Spears Bunce. She graduated from Moberly Senior High School in 1998. She enjoyed Anime, Comic-Cons (where she met many of her favorite actors), music concerts, and participated in craft shows with her mother. Her family will always remember her as strong-willed, opinionated, a jokester and very family oriented.
She is preceded in death by her father, Ronnie Bunce; uncles, Frank Ingersoll, Mike Spears, John Spears; life partner, Joe Hefner; maternal grandparents, George “Bud” and Betty Spears; and paternal grandparents, Albert and Doloris Ingersoll.
Jody is survived by her mom, Patty Bunce, of Cairo, MO; brothers, Jason (Denni) Bunce, of Cairo, MO, and Jeremy (Lindsey Rapp) Bunce, of Mexico, MO; four nieces, Leeann, Rylee, Ellee, and Leela Bunce; aunts and uncles, Don and Dianna Harrison; Willie and Libby Ingersoll; Stacey Ingersoll; cousins, Amanda and Haley Ingersoll; Chris and Daniel Harrison; and many other family and friends.
A Joint Memorial Gathering celebrating the lives of Jody and her life partner, Joe Heifner, will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Pathway-Millard Family Funeral Chapel in Moberly.
