Jody Love (1964-2024)
Jody Ray Love, 60, of Virginia Beach, Virginia and Athens, Ohio went to be with the Lord on August 17, 2024.
He was born in Wyandotte, Michigan in 1964 to Charles and W. Pauline Love and attended Federal Hocking High School and Tri-County Vocational School. Jody joined the United States Navy in 1984 and retired in 2010 as a Senior Chief. Following his retirement, Jody worked with Valiant Integrative Services in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Jody was preceded in death by his parents as well as his brothers, Chuck and David Love.
He is survived by his wife Lisa; children Demi Gotreaux, Carter Naff, Brandon Naff, and Alisa Miles; Eight beloved grandchildren; siblings, Julie Love Hilliker, Debora Love, and Dawn Ruhinen; as well as extended family and many friends.
Jody loved the farm, the Ohio State Buckeyes, the Detroit Lions, hunting, fishing, and above all his family.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 24th from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Hughes Funeral Home in Athens, Ohio. Followed by graveside services at Clark’s Chapel Cemetery.
