Jody Moore, loving husband, father, son and brother, passed away at the age of 65, on Sunday, April 27, 2025. Mr. Moore was a native of Pikeville, KY but lived in Erwin, TN since the age of 3. He is a son of Betty Sue (Salyer) Moore and the late Billy Joe Moore, Sr.
Jody graduated from Unicoi County High School and furthered his education at Milligan University where he excelled in Chemistry. Mr. Moore then moved to Memphis to attend the University of Tennessee at Memphis where he graduated with his Doctorate of Pharmacy, all while completing his clinicals in nearby Pharmacies. After returning to Erwin, TN he opened the first Revco Pharmacy and then decided to open his own pharmacy, The Medicine Shoppe. During his fifteen years there he assisted and helped so many in the community.
Jody was a member of Erwin Presbyterian Church where he served as an Elder, but his greatest passion was the TN Vols and loved the Beatles.
Jody would want everyone to know just how much he loved his wife, daughters, mother, father and brother and that his sole purpose was to take care of them. Jody had an old soul and loved deeply. His favorite times were going on camping trips in the RV with his wife and daughters.
He is survived by his loving wife, Angie; daughters, Carson and Claire; mother, Betty Moore; brother, Tracy Moore and wife, Becky; nephews, Trey, Spencer, Troy, Garrett; nieces, Lexis, Marisa, Hillary; great nephew, Elliott; great niece, Mia; and many loving cousins.
Per Jody's wishes the family will attend a private Celebration of Life at a later date.
