Jody Rae Alkire was born on November 28th, 1959 in Marshalltown, IA to Raymond and Patty (Atchison) Alkire. She attended schools in Tama-Toledo, IA.
She was united in marriage to Brian State, to this union were born Skylar State and Heather State.
Jody loved playing bingo and cards, doing puzzles and watching horse racing and football. Her favorite team was the Kansas
City Chiefs.
She is survived by her children, Skylar State of Seattle, WA and Heather State of Marshalltown, IA, sisters Valerie Alkire of Marshalltown, Heidi Doyle of Marshalltown, nephews Brandon (Morgan) Thorn of Marshalltown, Keaton Thorn of Marshalltown.
Jody is preceded in death by her parents and brother Jamie Alkire.
