Anthony State Obituary
One of ten children, "Tony" was a graduate of Flaget High School and the University of Louisville. He earned a Bachelor of Science and was a Civil Engineer employed by RA Consultants for Metropolitan Sewer District. An Avid lover of sports but loyal to the University of Louisville Cardinals and the Green Bay Packers. He was a spirited man with a joy for life and celebration who will be dearly missed and fondly remembered for his love of playing the guitar and singing.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, David State.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughter Ashli State; his stepchildren, Denise Buschermohle and Donnie Atcher; his sisters, Mary Ann Dozer, Penny Zimmerman; his brother, Jack State (Donna), sisters, Carol Hoeppner, Imelda Williams (Steve), Rebecca (Gray) Creek, Alicia Gunn (Steve), Maureen Vowels (Fred), and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm on Sunday February 2nd, at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road.
His funeral Mass will be held Monday, February 3rd at 12:00 pm at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 508 Breckinridge Lane, with burial to follow in Cave Hill Cemetery.
Donations in his honor or expressions of sympathy may be sent to The American Lung Association or The American Heart Association.

I'm sitting here reminiscing about the good times we shared together. Lambeau Field, Bengals games and Cardinal football. Those countless hours we spent in the Wyandotte where I did my best to school you on politics. You were a poor student. Rest in peace old friend.
