Jody L Viseth

   Jody L. Viseth, 63, of Hillsboro, formerly of Mayville, ND died Thursday, January 18, 2024 at her home in Hillsboro, ND.

   Jody was born on November 24, 1960 to Daniel and Elaine Viken. She was raised in Hope ND where she attended school and graduated from Hope High School in 1979.

   Jody worked many different jobs throughout her life. One of these is the Luther Memorial Home, where she helped by taking care of the residents' laundry. She helped her husband Ron run their business and raised a son together. Jody most recently worked for Dollar General in Hillsboro where she spent her time helping guests of the store.

   Jody had a bit of a green thumb. she tended to a flower bed and would be overjoyed when the peonies would burst open revealing their beautiful colors. She always had many plants throughout her home. She loved the springtime when the goldfinches returned and would watch them for hours. Jody not only tended to flowers, but she tended a garden as well for a few years. She enjoyed her time in the kitchen baking cooking and canning. Some of you may have had the opportunity to taste her beet pickles, krumkake and chokecherry jellies. Just know she poured so much love into her food. She was a Coca-Cola collector and found joy in the different glasses, bottles signs, and puzzles she would find.

   Jody loved to go on adventures with her husband. They would take off on their motorcycle and travel the country to see all these amazing sights and attend events like the Sturgis bike rally. Jody was also an animal lover. She always had a soft spot for dogs, especially chihuahuas. She loved spending time with her dogs and taking them along with her on her adventures.
    She is survived by her son: Shawn Viseth; sister: Terry (Craig) Klabo; brother: Todd (Shari) Viken; and many nieces and nephews.

   Jody is preceded in death by her husband: Ron Viseth; stepson: Shane Viseth; sister: Cindy Sorenson; parents: Daniel and Elaine Viken and a nephew: Darin Klabo.

Visitation:  Will be one hour prior to the service at the church.

Funeral Service: Will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at the Bruflat Lutheran Church in Portland, ND.

Burial: Will be in the Mayville Cemetery in Mayville, ND.
