With love and heavy hearts, we celebrate the life of Joe Dale Attaway Jr, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Joe passed away peacefully at his home in Kyle, TX, on September 11, 2025, at the age of 61.
Joe was everything to his family. He loved boating, camping, and simply being together with the people he loved most. Port Aransas and Broken Bow were two of his favorite places, full of treasured memories. In his final days, he was happily working on his boat and planning his next family vacation.
Music was another passion—whether he was playing his guitar or blaring classic rock, he was always happiest surrounded by sound, sunshine, and laughter.
Above all, Joe adored his family and especially his grandchildren. If he could leave them with one message, it would be to always remember how deeply he loved them.
Joe is survived by his wife, Sherri; his children, Joe, Chelsea, Jase, Amanda, Stephanie, Shelbi, and Bradley; his sister, Wendy; his brother, Jeff; and fourteen grandchildren who were the light of his life.
He will be remembered for his love, his laughter, and the many memories he created with those who were lucky enough to know him.
"To change unwanted results in life, identify and change the behaviors that produce them"
A Memorial Service for Joe will be announced at a later date.
