Joe Melvin Baucom Jr.

  Joe Melvin Baucom Jr., 61, of Charlotte, NC, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 8, 2025.

  Born on May 29, 1964, Joe was a lifelong Charlotte native who touched the lives of many. He was known for his kind spirit, easygoing nature, and love for his family. Joe's family was his pride and joy, and he found great comfort in their love and support throughout his life. He was a devoted son, brother, dad, and grandfather.

  Joe was preceded in death by his mother, Doris Baucom, whose memory he always carried close. He is survived by his daughter, Harley Davis, her husband, Austin, and their two daughters, Harper and Palmer; his father, Joe Melvin Baucom Sr.; his sister, Becky Brinson, and her husband, Bryan; and partner, Angie Moore.

  Family and friends are invited to come together to share memories and honor Joe's life. A memorial service to celebrate Joe’s life will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Sunset Road Baptist Church in Charlotte, NC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church, starting at 1:00 PM.

  Joe’s memory will be cherished and live on with family and friends. He will be deeply missed and always remembered with love.
