Regina Anne Joyce Seymour, 54, of Harrisburg, passed away Thursday, October 2, 2025, at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.
Regina was born March 5, 1971, in Winston-Salem to Richard and Rachel Joyce. In addition to her parents, Regina is also survived by her daughter, Emma Seymour; son, Matthew Seymour; sister, Robin (Joe) Carey; nephew, Connor Carey; niece, Morgan Carey, — they adored her greatly — and numerous cousins and close friends.
Regina was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 23 years, Mike Seymour.
Regina’s greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends. She loved cheering on her kids at their sports events, and even while bravely fighting cancer, she was out snow skiing with Matthew. Regina also cherished days at the lake and beach—whether riding on the boat with Papa or cruising around the island in a golf cart, those moments brought her peace. She was a big fan of Facebook, especially the memories, which helped her stay connected with friends near and far.
Regina's memorial service will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Harrisburg. The service will be webcast for those unable to attend in person. The family will receive friends during a reception following the service.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Harrisburg YMCA Capital Campaign in memory of Regina Seymour, 5055 Z-Max Blvd, Harrisburg NC 28075; or Atrium Health Foundation- Levine Cancer Institute; or the GoFundme for Emma and Matthew.
