Cathleen Sears Watts, 67, entered through the gates of Heaven on Monday, October 20th, 2025, at her residence in Harrisburg, NC. She was born on August 22nd, 1958, in Colorado to the late Nancy Fogg Sears whom she cared for and loved very much.
Cathleen is survived by her husband of 28 years, Tony Watts, her sons, Kyle (Crystal) Jones, NC, Corey (Danielle) Jones, NC, and Ryan Watts, NC; her grandchildren Kendall, Addison, and Clayton; and her brother, Jeff Sears, MN.
Cathleen excelled in her studies and graduated from Edina High School in 1976. She then attended Oklahoma State University and later went on to become a dedicated, compassionate, and selfless nurse after she graduated from Louise Harkey School of Nursing at the Cabarrus College of Health Sciences in 1994.
Her closest friends whom she often celebrated by spending time together at concerts of their favorite artists or out at their favorite restaurants remember her laughter, her giving heart, and her unwavering loyalty. Adoringly known as “Nana” to her grandchildren she was a constant source of counsel, care, and unconditional love. She was one of a kind and her love and memory will live on in the people that were blessed enough to receive her love and support.
The family will hold a Celebration of Life service officiated by Marie Starnes on Monday, October 27th at 2:00pm at Hartsell funeral home 12115 University City Blvd, Harrisburg, NC 28075.
