Joe Cornelius Botts Jr (Jody), left his Earthly home to be with his Lord and Savior at 10:01 PM on May 04, 2025. A graveside service will be held at 10 AM Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at Snyder Cemetery, with Pastor Rick Owens Officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
Jody was born in Electra, Texas on Oct. 10th, 1942 to Lorena Lella (Wright) and Joe Cornelius Botts Sr. The family moved to Snyder, Texas in 1956.
He was an excellent mechanic, taught by his father and a cross country truck driver in his younger years.
Jody loved classic cars and the Lord, and he was never ashamed to tell that to all he met and he never met a stranger.
He had many friends, and acquaintances, and loved everyone.
Jody is survived by 2 daughters, Tina Goltl and Teresa Branham, both of San Angelo, Texas. He is survived by 3 Granddaughters,
Krystal Doucet, Krissy Morton and Shawnna White and 2 Grandsons, Adam Smith and Kristopher Snith, all of San Angelo, Texas. Jody is survived by 2 sisters, Kay Roemisch (Mark Carter) of Snyder, Texas and Donna Parrish of Ft Worth, Texas. He is survived by 5 brothers, Roy Botts of Kingsland, Texas
Troy Botts, Alvin Botts and David Botts (Sally) of Snyder Texas and Clarence Botts (Melinda) of Pasco, Washington.
Jody was pre-deceased by his parents, 1 brother, Timmie and 1 sister Gloria Ford and 1 brother in law Bobby Ford, 2 sisters in law Brenda Botts and Glenda Botts.
The Botts family would like to thank Dr Hough of Cogdell Hospital, and Hospice Nurse Amy for their caring attention. In Addition, the family would also like to thank the staff and residents at Snyder Oaks Nursing Center for caring for and loving Jody for the past few years. He truly loved his caretakers and friends and considered Snyder Oaks his home.
There is no visitation planned at this time.
