The services celebrating and honoring the life of Stanley Charles Botts, 99, of Enid, will be held 2:00 PM Friday May 23, 2025, in the Calvary Assembly of God Church with Pastor Stanley E. Botts Sr. officiating. A Visitation will be held 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. Thursday May 22, 2025, in the Brown-Cummings Funeral Home. Burial will follow the services in the Waukomis Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings, a life celebration home.
Stanley was born October 27, 1925, to Charley and Leta Botts in Kansas City, Kansas and passed from this life May 15, 2025, in Enid, Oklahoma.
He was raised by his grandparents Frank A. and Melvina Botts after his mother passed and was educated in Lacy Schools. During high school he was drafted into the United States Army and served in World War II with the Field Artillery and later did carpentry. He was honorably discharged in 1945.
Upon returning to civilian life, he worked on the family farm near Lacy, Oklahoma. He married his wife of 79 years, Luella Hatfield, April 25, 1946, in Wellington, Kansas. The couple made their home on a farm near Lacy, Oklahoma, and later moved to Enid while employed driving a milk and cream can route for Gold Spot Dairy. He later was employed in the dairy, working his way up to Plant Superintendent. He retired from Gold Spot Dairy after thirty-seven years.
He is survived by his wife, Luella, of seventy-nine years, six children, Stanley and Corinne, Waukomis, Leta and Larry Walton, Enid, Ed Botts, East of Drummond, Ricky Botts, Enid, Adena and Ron Fletcher, Grand Junction, Colorado, Anita and Byron Copeland, San Antonio, Texas, sixteen grandchildren, thirty-eight great grandchildren, and seven great great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made in his honor to Calvary Assembly of God Church with Brown-Cummings, serving as custodian of the funds.
