A graveside service for Joe B. Carson, Sr. 93, of Cleburne, will take place Saturday, August 16, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Rosehill Cemetery, located at 405 Waters Street, Cleburne, TX, 76031. A visitation in Joe’s honor will be held Friday, August 15, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home, located at 512 N Ridgeway Dr, Cleburne, TX, 76033. Justin Kilman, Bryce Seals, Chris Carnes, Josh Carson, Joey Lacey, and Tommy Allison will serve as pallbearers.
Joe B. Carson Sr, a beloved member of the community, passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2025, in Cleburne, Texas. Born on January 20, 1932, in Blanchard, Oklahoma, Joe lived a life filled with love, laughter, and remarkable stories that captivated all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Joe was a dedicated husband who adored his wife, finding joy in every moment they shared together. He was known for always having something to talk about, embodying the essence of a great storyteller whose narratives brought smiles to family and friends alike. His engaging conversations will be dearly missed, as he had an exceptional ability to connect with people, making them feel valued and heard.
Throughout his life, Joe embraced hard work and was often seen as the family's "unofficial" chauffeur, going above and beyond to ensure his loved ones got where they needed to be. His hard work and determination were complemented by his enthusiasm for life after retirement. Joe found great enjoyment in visiting the casino, where he relished the thrill of the games and the camaraderie of fellow enthusiasts.
Joe is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Raynette Carson; son, Toliver Carson; granddaughter, Angelah Carson and beloved dog, Lulu.
Joe is survived by his children, Joe B. Carson, Jr., Patricia Annette White, Susan Raynette Gore; grandchildren, Tabitha, Tommy & Donna, Tiffany & Chris, Josh, April & Justin and Heather; & Bryce 10 great-grandchildren; siblings, Belinda Boshell, Doris Matthews, Lillian Davis; cousins Amy Lucas, Joyce Atchison; beloved dog, Coco, 1 niece and other relatives and friends.
Joe's legacy will live on through the countless memories he created and shared during his time with us. His gentle spirit and warm heart have left an indelible mark on the lives he touched, and he will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.
In this time of mourning, we celebrate the vibrant life Joe B. Carson, Sr. led and the cherished moments he leaves behind.
