Graveside Service for Mr. Joe Patrick "Pat" Crouch, 81, of Dadeville, will be Saturday, August 24, 2024 at 10:00 am at the Tallapoosa County Memory Gardens. Rev. Johnny Pritchard will officiate.
Mr. Crouch passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at East Alabama Medical Center. He was born on March 17, 1943 in Dadeville, Alabama to Togie Otha Crouch and Mary Lois Knight Crouch. Pat was a resident of Dadeville Healthcare Center for the last 8 years. He went to school at Dadeville High School. As a young boy, Pat enjoyed going squirrel hunting with his brothers, Doug and Jimmy. He also loved to go frog gigging with his best buddy, Larry Williamson. Pat worked in the textile mill for many years in Dadeville where he hardly ever missed a day of work. As Pat got older, he enjoyed watching classic Westerns like Gunsmoke and the classic TV shows, like the Andy Griffith Show.
Pat was a good man. He never hurt or bothered anyone and was a good neighbor to everyone in the mill village in Dadeville. Pat was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He was a very quiet and humble man. He was a wonderful caregiver to his sick dad, Togie. Pat cared for him almost 5 years after he had a stroke.
If everyone was like Pat, we would have a better world to live in.
He is survived by his brothers, Douglas Crouch and Miles (Judy) Crouch; sister, Sue (Butch) Roper; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Jimmy Crouch.
