Joe Lewis Davis, 82, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 1, 2024 at Anderson Memorial Hospital. He leaves behind cherished memories and was born to the late Jacob Davis and the late Sabathia Davis. His laughter, strength, support, and kindness will be missed.
Joe Lewis Davis precedes in death his parents, First wife of 59 years Jessie R. Davis, Billy Davis, his sons Charles Davis, III and Jerry Davis.
He leaves behind in second marriage wife Shirley Carson, Daughter Johnnie (Richard) James, Son Billy Davis, Daughter Patricia Davis, Son Terry Davis, Son Steve Davis, Son
Tyrone Davis, Daughter Barbara Johnson, Daughter Donna, Sister Jannie Hallums of Anderson, Brother Theodore Davis of Greenville, Johnny Davis of Anderson, and Brother Leo Davis of North Carolina, Many grandkids, Host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
The service for Mr. Davis will be held at The Unity Mortuary of Anderson on Thursday, August 8, 2024 at 11:00 am.
