Mr. Joe Albert Dixon, age 67, of Burlington, passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at Alamance Regional Medical Center after several weeks of failing health.

 A native of Alamance County he was the son of the late Jack Holt Dixon and the late Lowrene Tinnin Dixon and was married for 38 years to Robin Boswell Dixon, who survives. Joe was the owner and operator of Dixon’s Transmission Service, which has been operated by the Dixon family for three generations, and also was the owner and operator of Joe’s Tractor Service. He was a member of Trinity Worship Center and was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

 Mr. Dixon is survived by his wife of the home; his three children, Casey Dixon (Ashton), Channing Flinchum (Kasey) and Brandon Dixon (April); five grandchildren, Jack Dixon, Tucker Dixon, Crew Flinchum, Chloe Flinchum and Caitlyn Dixon; his sister, Grosidean Thomas; and his mother-in-law, Billie Boswell. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Phyllis Scott; and two brothers, Frank Dixon and Danny Dixon.

 The funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, July 27, 2024 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Darrell Cox and Rev. Roger Barefoot. Interment will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5:30 – 7:30 PM Friday, July 26 at the funeral home and other times at the residence.

 In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to AuthoraCare Collective Hospice, 914 Chapel Hill Rd., Burlington, NC 27215.
