Joe Dale Frye passed away peacefully at home on February 11, 2026, after an 8-year journey with dementia. He was surrounded by his loving Wife, Anne, and his daughters. Joe and Anne spent 22 years together with much love and happiness. Joe met Anne when she was the drive-through teller at his bank when they were 59 years old. Their love inspired so many and only grew over time.

Joe is preceded in death by his parents, B.D. Frye and Willie Mae (Atkinson) Frye; his son, Douglas Bradford Frye; and his granddaughter, Kim Green.

Joe is survived by his wife, Anne Shirley Frye, his daughters, JoAnn (Randall) Edge and Kelly (Brad) Minard; step-son, Kenneth Shirley; step-daughters, Wendy Hartley (Thom) Gregerson and Sherrie (Bradd) Jordan.

Grandchildren: Amber Lauren, Joey (Lynsey) Edge, Shayne (Cindy) Edge, Mitchell (Kim) Raper, Terrence (Kayla) Raper, Cody (Anastasia) Raper; Grant (Haleigh) Minard; Angela Webb, Katie (Andrew) Winton; and Cody Hartley.

Great -grandchildren: Keirsten (Bryce) Duren, Tre Cothran, Chase Cothran, Bynton Edge, Bryce Edge, Brock Edge, Megan Edge, Courtney Green, Malachi Raper, Everly Raper, Maggie Raper, Luca Raper, Natalie Raper, Claire Raper, Leona Raper, Parker Wyatt, Brock Hartley, Lucas Hartley, Luna Winton and Stella Winton.

Great-Great grandchildren: Cilan Duren and Evelyn Duren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 8th Avenue, 16th Floor, New York, NY 10001, in honor of him.
