Joe Hildon Fuller, 93, of Phenix City, AL died peacefully at St. Francis Hospital, Columbus, GA on Sunday, September 08, 2024.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00AM (EST) on Thursday, September 12, 2024 in the Chapel of Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL with Rev. Kevin Haefner officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM (EST) on Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
Mr. Fuller was born January 28, 1931 in Banks, AL son of the late Amos Fuller and Essie Renfroe Fuller. He was a Millwright at Interface Flooring when he retired. Mr. Fuller’s childhood was spent working on the farm, which inspired a strong work ethic throughout his life. This work ethic has had an impact that continues to span generations of our family. He was an avid gardener, fisherman and cook.
Mr. Fuller was preceded in death by his parents, Amos and Essie Fuller; his wife, Reather Wilson Fuller and five brothers, Keldon, Winford, Nathan, Malcom and Ray Fuller; two sisters, Annette Lance and Suzette Hudgins.
Survivors include his two children, Alicia Fuller Tant, (John Ricky), Auburn, AL and Ricky Fuller (Robin), Phenix City, AL; three grandchildren, Holly Tant Shaver (Brad), Emily Tant Nichols (Brent) and Rhett Fuller (Brittany); five greatgrandchildren, Wilson “Wil” Shaver, Sara Kate Shaver, John Thomas Shaver, Abigail Nichols and Lillian Nichols; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
