Joe Kasper, age 34, passed away at his home on Thursday, February 26, 2026, in Newport, Michigan. Joe was born on October 19, 1991, in Toledo, Ohio, to his loving parents, Jim and Kathy (Poole) Kasper.
Joe was a proud graduate of Clay High School and built a successful career at Ford Michigan Assembly Plant in Wayne, Michigan. Through hard work and dedication, he advanced quickly into management and was currently serving as a Launch Manager. Above all else, Joe was a devoted family man. Spending time with his fiancée, Heather, and his beloved son, Karson Joseph, meant everything to him. Whether it was simple family moments, playing Xbox, special date nights with Heather, or taking Karson and Heather on outings to the Toledo Zoo or Imagination Station, Joe treasured every moment they shared. Joe found joy in the outdoors, especially fishing near his home in Newport, Michigan. He also loved horseback riding while on vacation and spending time surrounded by family and friends.
Joe had a personality that filled a room. He had a happy sense of humor and could make a joke out of almost anything, always finding a way to make those around him smile. His loved ones often joked that he was a "60-year-old man in a 30-year-old's body," with an old soul and a wise perspective on life. He had an eclectic taste in music, appreciating everything from classic favorites to the music of The Twilight Zone. Joe also had a well-known quirky side - he maintained a wild collection of colorful socks while always looking polished and put together on top. Joe had a way of making life feel lighter and happier for the people around him. His love for his family, his laughter, and the memories he created will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Joe is survived by his parents, Jim & Kathy; fiancée and best friend Heather Weeks; son, Karson Joseph Kasper; brother, Andy (Jennifer) Kasper; lifelong friend, Mark Smith; along with many loving family members and dear friends. Preceded in death by his grandparents.
The family will receive friends at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road Sunday, March 8, 2026 from 2:00 pm until funeral service at 4:00 pm. Graveside service Monday, March 9, 2026 at 1:00 pm in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park, 4210 W. Central Ave, Toledo. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to a charity of donor's choice.
