It's a wonderful life
Joe Michael Lara, age 73, of Dallas, Texas, passed away on December 14, 2024. He was born on April 26, 1951, and was a beloved son, husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Joe dedicated his life to coaching and mentoring his children and grandchildren in martial arts and boxing, instilling values of discipline, respect, and perseverance.
He is survived by his loving wife, Carmen Lara, and his nine children, who carry on his legacy along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Each of them holds his memory close to their hearts.
Joe was preceded in death by his mother, Ramona Lara; sister, Teresa Mayo; and brother, Ernest Lara.
Known for his generosity and wisdom, Joe had a remarkable ability to offer guidance and support to those around him. He touched the lives of many with his kindness, strength, and passion for teaching. He was deeply loved by his family and friends, and his spirit will be forever missed. Joe Michael Lara lived a wonderful life filled with love, laughter, and an unwavering commitment to his family. He will continue to inspire and bring joy to all who had the privilege of knowing him.
