Joe loved carpentry; he enjoyed remodeling the house and working in the garage.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Shirley Luffman of Granite City; six children, Sandy Horn of Belleville, Bobby Joe (Dee Anne) Goodall of Highland, Brenda Goodall (Gene) of Alhambra, David (Debbie) Goodall of Staunton; Christopher (Melissa) Luffman of Urbana and Jeff Luffman of Collinsville; sister, Linda Freeman; thirteen grandchildren, forty great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents; eight siblings, Robert Luffman, Elroy Luffman, Minnie Powers, Dolly Reed, Nell Branch, June Thomas, Peachy Howard and Anna Mae Lindsay and a son in law, Richard Horn.
Cremation services were entrusted to Wojstrom Funeral Home & Crematory in Granite City. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the 2nd Baptist Church, 2100 Illinois, Ave, Granite City, IL 62040. Online guestbook available at www.wojstrom.com.
