Joe Manzella Obituary
Joe B. Manzella Sr. was born on February 19, 1953, in New Orleans. A graduate of St. Bernard High School in 1971, Joe later retired from Air Products. He was known for his kind spirit and warm smile. Joe loved to travel and often served as the "human navigator" during lengthy road trips. He was enthusiastic about sports, enjoying ball games and golf. He always kept his toy poodle, Coco, on his lap. Joe enjoyed a life filled with memorable adventures and a deep love for his family and friends.
Joe is survived by his devoted wife of 33 years, Becky LeFleur Manzella, his childhood sweetheart and the love of his life. His four children; Chastity M. Taveras (Rob), Joe B. Manzella Jr. (Debra), Katie M. Rossignol (Raymond), and Macy M. Jackson (Chris). He is the proud grandfather of ten grandchildren: Frank J. Willoz IV, Prestin R. Willoz (Trinity), Peytin W. McCollum (Chris), Eliana Taveras, Giana Taveras, Liam Manzella, Emma Manzella, Layla Rossignol, Kenley Jackson, and Clark Jackson.
He also leaves behind four great-grandchildren: Hayes, Everly, Brailynn McCollum, and Prestin R. Willoz II. He is survived by his brother, Jeff Manzella (Lois), along with many other family members and friends.
Joe is preceded in death by his parents Robert and Helen Evans Manzella; brothers Jess, Jan (a/k/a Shorty); and Jon Manzella.
The family would like to thank the Nurses of Intermittent Hospice for their compassionate end-of-life care, as well as Right Direction Church for their support and prayers.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Celebration of Life on Friday October 17, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., at 209 Braithwaite, La 70040.
