Joe Carl Martin of Hallsville, TX passed away on Sept 10, 2025 at the age of 70 years old due to complications of Stage 4 Metastatic Squamous Cell Cancer of the Head and Neck. He was born on Jan 29, 1955 in Kingsville, TX. He attended many different schools due to his dad's work with the government. He graduated from Longview High School. After working for Fleetwood Trailer Company, Joe went on to work for Texas Eastman Chemical Company as an operator for 39 years. He retired in 2016. He enjoyed the outdoors and animals. He couldn't pass an animal without making a new friend. He enjoyed photography, and rock tumbling which we had in common. He loved making things for friends. Joe enjoyed watching shows about Big Foot. (One of the family said that now he knows if Big Foot was real.) He enjoyed being on the water especially at Caddo. But what he enjoyed the most was making people laugh. He said if he could make one person laugh then he was happy. Preceded in death by his parents, Delmar and Mildred (Brown) Martin. His first wife, Kathy Parker. Many Aunts and Uncles due to late in life parents. Joe was an only child but there are many family and friends who loved him dearly and will cherish the time they had with him. His wife of 31 years, Ginger Kirkpatrick Chambers Martin; Stepson-Jason Chambers, Jr. Step-daughter Sabrina Chambers and son in law Chase Wildt; Brothers and sister in laws-James and Sandra Green Kirkpatrick, Bruce and Chrystal Kirkpatrick. Grandchildren Carson Chambers, Jack Key, McCallen Evans-Chambers and Hayzen Wildt. Nieces, Krystal Montgomery, Erica Kirkpatrick and Madison Kirkpatrick. Great niece Michelle Montgomery and nephew Mitchell Montgomer. Also special friends, Sylvia Carrell and Debbie Barber. The family would like to thank the nurses, doctors and techs for the care and compassion they showed Joe during his battle with cancer. We will have a Celebration of Life on Sept 27, 2025 at 10:30. There will be a fish fry afterwards at 11:00. It will be held at Woodland Hills Baptist Church Memorial Pond behind the school. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in his honor to cancer research. American Cancer Society or to the Animal League. Under the Care of Radar Funeral Home. Thank you for your help.
