Joe was one of my good friends at Clinton Healthplex. We were in a water aerobics class together. We talked about the issues of the day. He talked a lot about his job as a band director at Clinton High School & Murrah High School (?). He was a good Christian man loved & respected by all his many friends at the Healthplex. He had the unique ability to the to inspire his band students to do there very best.,
He also talked about being part of a small musical group that played at many venues across the State.
Joe will be remembered fondly by all his friends, especially my wife Carol & me.

A large portion of who I am is because of this man. He was a father figure to me and it made my heart jump for joy when he told me years later that he was proud of me. Im sure I speak for the thousands of youth he poured into when I say I am heart broken to hear this news. Thank you for sharing him with us. We are better today because of him. And we have a little extra tolerance for todays youth bc he had so much energy and patience with us! I am praying for the family.
