Joe David Norton age 67 of Corryton, TN., passed away on July 30, 2025. Joe was employed as a truck driver for Braden Trucking. He was an avid sports fan with a love for college football and basketball, Duke Blue Devils, Atlanta Braves and Nascar Racing. Joe attended Bethel Baptist Church in Corryton, TN. He was preceded in death by parents, Eugene and Marie Norton; and brother Robert "Bob" Norton. Joe is survived by partner and friend, Michelle Collins; stepson Brad Barnhill; step-daughters, Kim, Katrina and Bryann Walker; brothers, Jimmy (Nancy) Norton and George (Teresa) Norton; sister, Clerlinda Mynatt; sister-in-law Mildred Norton; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Bridges Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friends and family will gather at Prospect Baptist Cemetery, 519 Prospect Rd., Walland, TN 37886, on Wednesday at 9:45 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. Graveside Service with Pastor Tim Inklebarger officiating. I have many fond memories of Joe. He was a lifelong friend to my brother, Cotton and spent a lot of time at our house with him. Always a hoot and full of life. Great friend and great memories. Condolences to family and friends.
