Joe Robinson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Troy's Funeral Home - Mullins on Mar. 5, 2025.
Joe Franklin Robinson"The lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: Therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him." Psalm 28:7
Mr. Joe Franklin Robinson Sr. went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, March 3, 2025. Joe Robinson (C. Cola) as he was affectionately called was born on May 3, 1953, in Marion County to the late Frank and Mary Robinson. Two brothers Samuel (Sammy) Robinson and Terone Robinson and one sister Diane Robinson preceded him in death.
A husband, father, and loving brother, Joe set out on a journey at an early age from the cotton and tobacco fields of South Carolina to the big city of New York. If you knew Joe, this was a challenge which led to a change in his new life in the city. He was observant and a quick learner which made him a man of all trades; from truck driving to carpentering. Everything he did was self-taught. In his trade, precise calculations were a must. Joe was loving and caring to everyone he knew. To know Joe was to love him. He radiated joy and happiness. His heart felt smile, happy laugh, and comforting conversations were a sight to see and enjoy.
He leaves to cherish his fond memories his wife Mary L. Robinson, 12 Children: James (Melissa) Robinson, Chantel Jothakin, Joe Robinson Jr., Jerome Jothakin, Jamel (Yolanda) Robinson, Joseph (Erica) Robinson, Shantay Robinson, Delisha Crawford, Whitney Scott, William Scott, Niquan Dixon and Ty'Kel Williams. 5 sisters: Geneva Davis, Martha Runyon, Earnestine (Gene) Williams, Margie Gause, Jeanette (Derrick) Rowell. 1 Brother: Barry Robinson. 30 Grandchildren, 16 Great-Grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
