Joe Martin Simoes passed away at his home on March 2, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. Joe was born in Tulare, California to Manuel and Guiomar Simoes on July 1, 1958. He attended elementary school in Tipton and graduated from Tulare Union High School in 1977 where he participated in FFA. Joe loved dairy work and was employed by Tulare Dairy Herd Improvement Association for 23 years as a cow tester. He then went on to work for Mario Simoes, Jr. as a cow feeder retiring in 2017. Joe had many interests. He was an avid Seattle Seahawks fan! He also enjoyed watching the Seattle Mariners and the Oklahoma City Thunder. Joe was a collector of music especially from the 70's and 80's and would play his music throughout the house and in his beloved 1973 T-Bird. He enjoyed working in his yard and in his son Jonathan's yard, growing fruits and vegetables during his retirement. He also built a miniature train town that had a dairy farm theme. Joe enjoyed spending time at the central coast with family and friends "making memories" he used to always say. We will miss him greatly; he was a wonderful husband and father. Joe is preceded in death by his father Manuel Simoes. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Janelle, his children: Joseph (Stephanie), Joshua, Jonathan, and Janette Simoes. His mother, Guiomar Simoes. His brothers, Anthony (Dana) and Frank (Cheryl) Simoes; his sisters, Mary Freitas and Angie Machado. His mother and father-in-law, Martha and Gabriel Pacheco; brothers-in-law, Gabe (Janet) and Frank (Colleen) Pacheco; sisters-in-law, Mary Pacheco (Tim Hawkins), Roseanne (John) Susoeff, Jaclyn (Garrett) Rodgers and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Kaweah Health Hospital, Kaweah Health Hospice, Clovis Community Cancer Institute, St. Aloysius Church (Father Rick) and Miller's Tulare Funeral Home (Mary) for all their support during this very difficult time. Also, the support and prayers of family and friends has meant so much. We can't thank all of you enough.
