Joe Vucovich Obituary

Joe Vucovich, 23, of Palatine, passed away at home surrounded by his family on December 24, 2022. Loving son of Dave and Roni; adoring brother of Nick; cherished grandson of Jean and the late Emil "Dan" Vucovich and Aggie Krus; dear nephew to many aunts and uncles and cousin to many more.
Joe loved to swim, whether it be in a lake, ocean or any hotel swimming pool. He was an avid traveler, going on many family trips to his preferred warm environment, where he could, of course, go swimming. Joe could always be spotted wearing shorts, year round, in his many favorite bacon t-shirts with his iPad in hand. He enjoyed dropping his toys off ledges, swimming pools or in the lake. Joe loved all Disney characters and enjoyed visiting both Disney Land and Disney World and getting up on stage with Barney at Universal Studios. He devoured many slices of Lou Malnati's pepperoni pizza, chocolate chip cookies, pretzels with French onion dip and bacon, bacon and more bacon. Always in an extremely affectionate mood, he would greet you with a kiss on the head, a strong handshake, or a fist bump. We will dearly miss his boisterous voice and contagious laughter that filled every room he was in.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2022.
Visitation from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 185 E. Northwest Hwy., Palatine.
Celebration of Life service at 6:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations in Joe's name to Have Dreams at https://havedreams.org/donate.
