It is with profound sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Joe Dell Wall on February 25, 2026, at the age of 93. He was a loving and devoted husband to Nancy Lynn Wall for 45 wonderful years. Joe leaves behind a rich legacy of love and connection. He is survived by his cherished children, Carrie (Roald) Pederson, Sherri Wall, Joe Wall Jr., Teresa Readnower and Deena (John) Greene. Joe loved his family and was overjoyed watching it grow with grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a proud grandfather to Jamie McNeal, Wesley Readnower, Taylor (Hannah) Greene and Savana (Dade) Coyle. His great-grandchildren include Cohen Coyle, Carsyn Coyle, and Liam Greene.

Born on November 26, 1932 in Walnut Cove, NC, Joe was the son of Vincent Astor and Louella Irene Wall. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Jeannette Cable, LouAnn Broadaway, and his brother Jesse Wall, but is survived by his sister Nancy Stanley. Joe's journey included serving his country as a crewman on the U.S.S. Essex aircraft carrier during the Korean War, where he earned several honors, including the National Defense Service Medal, Korean Service Ribbon (4 stars), and the China Service Medal.

Throughout his life, Joe embraced many passions. As a young man he was on the Greensboro police force, taught ballroom dancing, and an avid photographer, capturing cherished family moments and professional school pictures of children. Later a machinist in Rockford IL, until his passion steered him to pursue a career as a truck driver, which led him to Cincinnati, OH. Joe had a remarkable way of making every experience special, while his dedication to family included growing beautiful gardens that brought joy to all who tasted their bounty. Joe was also a proud member of the Masons and Shriners for over 50 years and a Kentucky Colonel since 1974 - a testament to his vibrant community involvement.

With a keen interest in health and fitness, Joe became a third-degree black belt in Kempo karate and maintained a disciplined exercise routine. Even in his retirement, he continued to seek new adventures, learning computer skills and studying EMT basics to serve his community with the Wayne Township EMS. Joe loved building furniture and remodeling his home. He built many types of furniture and cabinets for his home and family over the years.

Joe enjoyed traveling in the US and abroad visiting family and friends, with notable stops to Australia, France, and Switzerland.

Everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him, loved him. Let us celebrate a life well-lived -- a life full of love, laughter, and countless unforgettable moments. He will be profoundly missed but forever cherished in our hearts.

In lieu of flowers, Joe's family requests memorial donations may be made in his name to The Continental Manor, 820 East Center Street, Blanchester, OH 45107.

A celebration of life for Joe will be announced at a later date and held summer 2026.
