Joseph (Joe) Yardley was born on April 1, 1940, to Kermit R Yardley and Doris E. (Leslie) Yardley. He went home to his Lord and Savior on June 8th, 2024.
Joe is survived by a sister-in-law; Pat Yardley, brother-in-law; Richard Stroud and many nieces and nephews he loved dearly; Terry Nash (Sue), Fred Nash (Teresa), Patti Jo Nash (Deskin), Tami Witt, Brian Yardley (Lyndi), Tamara Yardley, Jessica Bishop (Adrian), Jennifer Yardley, Shelby Watson (John) and Jana Stroud (Curtis) as well as several great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, three siblings: Donna Nash, Greg Yardley and Patricia Stroud.
Joe lived in Pollock, Missouri for several years with his mother. While there, he would do a lot of odd jobs for his friends, family and neighbors. He eventually moved to Milan and then Kirksville, Missouri where he lived in several local nursing homes where he met love and new friendships along the way. Growing up, Joe's main passion was studying the Lord every day by any means necessary and teaching his learnings when possible. He also loved animals. You never knew when you would walk in and see a new feathered friend or little lizard. He was very crafty as well, always working with his hands, making something out of wood or a new stuffed animal out of yarn.
Joe will be laid to rest next to his mother at Scobee Cemetery in Pollock, Missouri. A private family service will be held at a later date.
