Joel David Dempsey was born April 9,1986 in Memphis, TN to Charles Dempsey and llona Bauer. Joel attended First Assembly Christian School, graduating in 2004. He was a natural athlete with a witty disposition and uncanny ability to make people laugh. He enjoyed learning new things and never missed an opportunity to engage in a healthy debate. He carved a dent in the insurance industry as Owner of Raleigh-Bartlett Insurance Agency, RBI Trucking, and Risk Relievers.
Joel married Keri Max in 2006 (divorced). He is survived by their son, Caleb, and daughter, Riley, his mother llona, his father Chuck, his nephew Michael, and seven older siblings including his brother Neil Dempsey, sister Lauran Dempsey, and sister Ashley Nelson.

It´s taken me a while...
I loved him.
I miss you deeply..
I will always miss our daily phone calls or neighborhood walks in Waikiki.
Joel Dempsey, you were one of a kind.
Paradise will always be us.
You´re my baby and I love you.
I wish we had more time....

Joel was a great person. He pulled me into insurance at a time when I was unsure about my career path and I am still in it today. We spent a lot of time together working on the agency when it was in an early stage.

I knew Joel from our time at FACS as kids. He always used to remind me of Rodney Dangerfield and we used to joke around and laugh a lot.

Very sad to hear of his passing. Please accept my condolences and the condolences of the entire Douglas family.
