Joetta Murchison was born on September 11, 1951 to the late Rosa Estella Parker, as we all know as "Sis" and Clyde Murchison, "Clyde Jr." The Lord saw fit to call our beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin, sister and friend to eternal rest on Sunday, March 23, 2025.
Joetta attended Bethel Union High School in Pitt County, later joining the US Army in 1970. After twenty successful years she retired in 1990. Joetta attended Beaufort County Community College where she received her Nursing Assistant II Certificate in 1991. In 1993 she was married to Arthur L. Perrin. She was the biological mother of her only child, Antwan Murchison.
Joetta spent her whole life working hard and helping others. She was reared by the late Christine Outlaw Parker who we all know as "Bell" with a host of siblings and family members in Stokes, NC. "Bell" Reared everyone as if they were her own and taught everyone the value of life but most of all the importance of family!
Joetta was a great provider for her family and many others that she touched and met. Always willing to lend a helping hand no matter who you are.
Being very enthusiastic and witty with her personality and work ethic, everyone who knew Joetta knew that she would speak her mind and tell you what she felt always! There was never a dull moment when you were in her presence. In her spare time, she had the greatest love for flowers and plants. Joetta yard was immaculate with all of her favorite flowers, dogwood trees for its beautiful and outstanding bloom and the poinsettia plant. When she wasn't working in her yard, she enjoyed the simplicity of life and what it had to offer whether good or bad. If you were ever in need, she was accountable and trusting to see you through your time.
Joetta was preceded in death by her parents; a loving brother, Robert Murchison; a dedicated aunt, Myrtle "Moot" Carney.
Joetta leaves to cherish her memories, her only child, Antwan Teagle (Latrice); five wonderful grandchildren, Deysir Teagle, Tykeisha Ebron, Nijea Brounson, Kaleb Ebron, Liam Hart; four loving sisters, Rosa Brown, Elaine Wilkins (Gary), Dayle Murchison and Gayle Murchison; four loving brothers, Douglas Murchison (Renita), Ronnie Murchison (Donna), Reginald Murchison, Clyde Murchison (Retha-Mae); two dedicated aunts, Gloria Jean Outlaw, Shirley Murchison; devoted nephew, Maurice Jones (Angel); a host of loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
