Joey Joseph Coutu, Sr.
Beloved son, father, brother, uncle, and in-law;
Joey Joseph Coutu, Sr. of Pelham, New Hampshire, passed away on Wednesday December 6, 2023, after a brief illness that took him unexpectedly. He died at the young age of only 49, in the ICU at St. Joseph's Hospital in Nashua, NH, surrounded by his family.
Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, July 7, 1974, the son of Priscilla D. (Morrissette) Coutu of Hudson, NH, and the late Norman R. Coutu, he received his education through the Pelham School system.
Among his many interests, Joe always enjoyed making others around him laugh with his great sense of humor. He will also always be remembered for being a hard worker, collecting scrap metal throughout the community. He drove around town in his beat-up truck loaded to the brim with appliances and other various metals. He loved gardening, raising goats, chickens, and geese, was a big Patriots fan and had a passion for racing. He will always be remembered for his race car #51, where he raced at Hudson Speedway.
Above all, his kids meant the world to him and were the essence of his life. He was very proud to be a dad and cherished every moment he had with his children.
Throughout Joe's entire life he was always there for his family and they always looked out for him. His mother was his rock and he depended on her for everything his entire life. He knew she had his best interest at heart and was always his defender and advocate.
Besides his mother, Joey is survived by a son and daughter he was extremely proud of: Joey Joseph Coutu, Jr. of Ayer, MA; a daughter Emily Ann Coutu of Pelham, NH; three brothers Randy R. Coutu and his wife Chanda Leary-Coutu of Pelham, NH, Danny R. Coutu of Hudson, NH, Bobby L. Coutu and his wife Khinly of Londonderry, NH; a niece Maylee D. Coutu of Pelham, NH; he is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Friends and Relatives are invited to attend his Memorial Funeral Mass at ST. PATRICK CHURCH in PELHAM, NH, on Friday December 15, 2023, at 10:00 A.M. (Meet at Church).
