Joseph David "Joey" Kellams passed away surrounded by his family on December 7, 2024. He was 53 years old. He was born to Kelly and Loretta Kellams on April 20, 1971. Joey lost his Dad on April 30, 2024, who he missed every day.
Joey grew up in Portageville, MO where he was a devoted farmer all his life. He was proud to work alongside his Dad and brothers. He loved to hunt, fish, trap and cook! He also enjoyed playing baseball and football during his high school years and was known for his nickname "Mad Dog!"
Joey married his high school sweetheart, Millie Royster, on August 6, 1994. They were blessed with two daughters, Maura (Jamie) Massey and Kelsey Kellams. Joey's greatest joy was his two grandsons, Kellan and Keegan Massey, who affectionately called him Poppa Joe!
Joey was a member of the St. Eustachius Catholic Church. He had a strong faith and a great love for his family and friends. He loved collecting tractors, arrowheads and marbles. He left quite a legacy for his girls and grandsons!
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Millie Kellams, his two daughters Maura (Jamie) Massey and Kelsey Kellams, and his two grandsons Kellan and Keegan Massey of Portageville, MO.
He is also survived by his mother, Loretta Kellams, his siblings: Melissa (Rex) Pullum, Kim Ivie, Angie Kellams, Steve (Lynn) Kellams, Mike (Renee) Kellams, Amy (Chris) Stinnett, his father-in-law and mother-in-law Curt and Rita Royster, his sister-in-law and brother-in-law Audrey (Chris) Brannan and his nieces Emma and Lily Brannan.
He also had many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly!
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made in Joey's name to:
