Johanna A. Wolstencroft (née Lahr), widow of Joseph T. Wolstencroft, passed away surrounded by family. Born in Stein-Bockenheim, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Konrad and Wilhelmine (Rudolf) Lahr. Johanna spent her early years in Leuna and Cologne, Germany, before making her home in Portsmouth in 1957.

She is survived by her son, Robert H. Leonard, Jr. (Elizabeth) of Melrose, MA; her daughter, Elisabeth Wolstencroft of Portsmouth; and three grandchildren, Jennifer Chilton (Todd) of Readfield, ME, Katie Conant of Barrington, and Bryan Whitmore of Manchester. She also leaves two great-grandchildren, Josephine and Bruce Conant of Barrington; her niece, Christa Lamon of Florida; nephew, Hans Lahr of Germany; niece, Mary Beth Courcier of Massachusetts; and nephews, Thomas Wolstencroft of Massachusetts and Richard Wolstencroft of Rhode Island.

In addition to her husband, Joseph, Johanna was predeceased by her sisters, Martha, Anni, and Wilma, as well as her nephews, Rudi and Rolf.

Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, please honor Johanna's memory by extending a helping hand to someone in need.
