HEIN, JOHANNAH M. age 83, of Macomb Township, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2025, after a courageous two-year journey with Alzheimer's disease.

Born in Detroit, Michigan, Johannah was the beloved daughter of her late parents, George and Dorothy Rintz, and cherished sister of her late brothers Thomas (the late Dolores) Rintz and Ronald Rintz. On February 6, 1960, she married the love of her life, Richard Hein, and together they shared 59 wonderful years of marriage until his death in 2019.

For 23 of those years, Johannah lovingly cared for Richard as his devoted caregiver, giving him a full and meaningful life despite his health challenges. Her dedication and strength were a true testament to her character and her commitment to family.

Johannah is lovingly remembered by her three daughters: Natalie (Terry) Miller, Kathleen (Edward) Esper, and Denise (Jeffrey) Chores. She was a proud grandmother to nine grandchildren-Giovanni (Lindsey), Ethan, Monica, Eric, Joshua, Emily, Hannah (Anthony), Evan (Lauren), Jacob and a joyful great-grandmother to six great-grandchildren: Lily, Teddy, Aviana, Jefferson, Jaxon, and Charlotte. She is also survived by sisters-in-law Lois (the late Bob) Decaussin, Karen (Jim) Fletcher, one niece and many nephews. She also leaves behind her cherished dog, Hazel.

A devoted animal lover, Johannah spent many years caring for animals through her work at the Macomb Veterinary Clinic, where she made lasting friendships and retired in 2004. Her passion for animals, especially dogs, was constant throughout her life.

Johannah found joy in life's simple pleasures-watching Tigers baseball, enjoying a good cup of coffee, and going for walks with Hazel. Most of all, she adored her family.

Johannah's warmth, compassion, and unwavering devotion to her family will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
