John Abston Obituary
John Abston was born October 1, 1945 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to the late Walter Abston and Ruby Spradling Abston. He departed this life Monday, December 22, 2025, at Signature Health Care Hart County in Horse Cave, having attained the age of eighty years, two months and twenty-one days.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ. He worked at KY Trailers in Louisville and he was a farmer. He was a jokester and loved old westerns, such as Gunsmoke. He is preceded in death by his wife Polly Nunn Abston. Besides his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by his brothers and sisters: Glynn, Donald, George, Robert and James Abston, Joanna Abston Bucker and Imogene Abston Garrett, brother-in-law: Randall Garrett and his stepdaughter: Lucinda Edwards.
He is survived by one daughter: Pam Abston of Summersville, one sister and brother-in-law: Patricia and Jerry Pinkston of Washington County, three sisters-in-law: Geneva, Kathy and Belinda Abston, one brother-in-law: Tommy Buckner, two grandsons: Chris and Zack Hartman of Taylor County, one step granddaughter and her spouse: Katrina and Michael Harman of Larue County, several nieces and nephews, plus a host of other relatives and friends.
The family chose cremation. There will be no memorial service at this time. For more information call Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home in Greensburg.
