John Accetta Obituary

John was a member at St. Patrick Catholic Church and served as an usher, and in the Knights of Columbus, Largo, Florida. In his early years he played professional baseball for the Yankees. His love of baseball continued throughout his life as he was an umpire for Little League and loved calling outs at home plate. He also traveled every year to South Williamsport, Pennsylvania for the Little League World Series. Where he enjoyed watching the games and trading little league pins.
He leaves behind a daughter, Joanne Accetta, Largo, Florida; daughter-in-law Dawn Robb; grandson Nicholas (Arielle) Accetta; granddaughter Vallerie (Sophie) Fullarton; and one great-grandson Aiden Accetta.
John is predeceased by his beloved wife Catherine (Kitty) Accetta and his son Chuck Accetta.
A graveside service will be held Saturday February 15, 2025 at 3 PM, Serenity Gardens Memorial Park, 13401 Indian Rocks Road, Largo, Florida 33774.
