John “Johnny” William Acree Jr., age 69 of Hiawassee, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, September 1, 2024, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center while surrounded by his family. He was born in Macon, GA on September 2, 1954, to the late John Acree Sr and Sara (McReynolds) Acree. Johnny was a lifelong member of McConnell Memorial Baptist Church.

Johnny was a beloved mechanic and devoted business owner. For over 30 years, Johnny proudly owned and operated Parts City in Hiawassee, GA, before transitioning to Parts City in Hayesville, NC, where he continued his work until his retirement in August 2023.

In his retirement, Johnny found joy in collaborating with his close friend, Steven Phillips, on the Phillips Run Drip & Bubble Company YouTube channel. His passions extended beyond work; he enjoyed riding motorcycles, tinkering with cars, and nurturing his cherished tomato plants. Johnny had a knack for odd projects, puzzles, and savored meals at Longhorns. A weekend game of Tag-O-Rama through the Blue Ridge Mountains was one of his favorite activities.

Johnny was known for his quiet demeanor, easy-going nature, and steadfast friendship. He approached life with a calm and steady spirit, never letting the little things ruffle him. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Johnny is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Cheryl and Mike Bleckley; brother, Brent Acree; nieces and nephews, John and Jordyn Bleckley, Ali Bleckley, and Ryan Acree; great nephew, Carsen Bleckley; and a host of extended family and friends.
