John Steven Aguilar went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at the age of 75. Mr. Aguilar is preceded in death by his father; Jesse V. Aguilar Sr., mother; Olivia Prado, brother; Jesse Aguilar Jr. and nephew; Jesse Aguilar III. Survivors include his loving husband of 49 years; Ralph N. Perez-Aguilar, sisters; Florine Aguilar, Cindy Hughes, Ruthie Garza ( Alfred) and Dorothy, brother; Anthony Aguilar and a host of family and friends. John is loved and will be greatly missed. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8, 2025 from 5:00p.m. to 9:00p.m. with a rosary to begin at 7:00p.m. at Alamo Funeral Home, 624 N. Alamo, San Antonio, Texas 78215. A procession will depart the funeral home on Thursday, October 9, 2025 at 11:00a.m. for a 11:30 mass at St. Patrick Catholic Church , 1114 Willow St. san Antonio, Texas 78208 with interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.

Uncle John, you will be deeply missed by all of us. We know how strong and enduring your love for our family & Uncle Ralph was. Thank you for always being there for me, Brittany, Nikki, Humberto III, Aithan, Emmelea, and Ares. You and Uncle Ralph have always been such an important part of our lives, and you both mean the world to us. We love you and will miss you dearly.
