John L. Altemose Sr.

John Lee Altemose Sr., 80 of Ross Township, Saylorsburg, PA passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, December 28, 2025.
John was born in Kresgeville, PA on November 20, 1945, son of the late Harold and Alice (Baumgartner) Altemose.
He had worked as a truck driver all his life, the owner and operator of John L. Altemose Trucking in Saylorsburg, PA for many years. He also drove for Consolidated Freight from 1985 until 2002.
We have been blessed with the presence of John in our lives. He will be deeply missed by his children: John L. Altemose Jr. of Pen Argyl, PA, Kevin Altemose of Saylorsburg, PA, Sherry Spinelli and spouse Nicholas of Nazareth, PA, Luke Altemose of Pen Argyl, PA and Bianca Caruso and spouse Stephen of Bangor, PA.
He was the loving grandfather to: Jonathon Altemose and spouse Samantha, Tasha Altemose, Nicholas Spinelli, Michael Spinelli, Kristina Spinelli and fiancée Nicholas Domenici, Sloane Caruso and his great granddaughters: Ivy and Lyla.
John is also survived by his siblings: Harold Altemose and spouse LaRue of Effort, PA, Jerry Altemose of Altamonte Springs, FL, Thomas Altemose and spouse Judy of Apopka, FL, Tim Altemose of Altamonte Springs, FL, Judy Deitch and spouse Marty of Heathrow, FL and many nieces and nephews.
No services are scheduled at this time. Interment is private and at the convenience of the family.
