Born in Scranton, PA, son of the late John A. and Marian Anderson, he was a lifelong resident of Manville.
John was a graduate of Manville High School with the Class of 1974. In his free time, John had a passion for woodworking, photography, photo and video editing, and cooking. He was also an avid reader. His fondest times were those spent with his family, especially his cherished grandchildren. Not only was he their number one fan, but also their favorite Saturday morning breakfast maker. John was a faithful communicant of St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church in Hillsborough, NJ where he had been very active as a bingo volunteer, church event photographer, and cook for their tricky tray events. He was well known for making his famous kielbasa and sauerkraut.
