Andrew George Huddock, aged 96, passed into eternal life on Sunday, June 22, 2025, at home with family at his side. Born and raised in Somerville, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Michael and Catherine (née Grabasz) Huddock, and has spent most of his life in Manville, New Jersey. Andrew served his country with honor in the United States Navy during World War II from March 1946 to January 1948, holding the rank of seaman first class. He was awarded the World War II Victory Medal. Following his military service, he took a position at the United States Army Depot in Belle Mead, New Jersey. He subsequently advanced his career as a money order clerk at the Eastern Area Supply Center in Hillsborough, New Jersey, retiring in 1992 after 45 years of committed service. Andrew held a lifetime membership with the American Legion Post 304 and was also a member of the Manville Senior Citizens Club, both located in Manville. He was a devoted parishioner at Christ the Redeemer Parish in Manville. An enthusiastic bowler, Andrew continued to bowl until he reached the age of 93. He was a fan of the New York Mets and the New York Giants. During his youth, he helped as a bowling pinsetter at the Polish Home in Manville. In addition to his parents, Andrew was preceded in death by his 19 month old baby, Janet Huddock in 1962; and four siblings, Ann Konopka, Mary "Marie" Grabowy, John Hudak, and Joseph Huddock. Andrew is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Nicolina (née Sferra) Huddock with whom he joined hands in Holy Matrimony on September 12, 1959; two loving children, Richard Huddock of Manville and Mary Jane and her husband Dale Johnson of Hillsborough; two cherished grandchildren, Lauren and her husband Tyler Kashtan and Tanner Johnson; an expected great grandson due in October and who he was fondly looking forward to meeting; and many dear nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to join together for a viewing at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, located at 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835 on Friday, June 27, 2025 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday, June 28, from 8:00 to 8:30 a.m. The funeral services will begin at the funeral home on Saturday, at 8:30 a.m. with transfer prayers followed by a 9:00 a.m. funeral Mass at Christ the Redeemer Parish in Manville.
