John S. "Steve" Bailor, Sr., 75, of Honey Grove, died at 5:47 p.m., Sunday, March 16, 2025, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital. Born on June 23, 1949, in Honey Grove, Juniata County, he was a son of the late John R. and Lois Mae (McCullogh) Bailor. On October 7, 1967 he married his surviving wife, Patricia (Peters) Bailor, with whom he was blessed to share more than 57 years of marriage before his passing. Surviving are his children: John "Stevie" Bailor, Jr., Tricia Watkins and her husband, Mike, siblings Karen Fultz and husband, William, Robert Bailor and wife, Kathleen, Sharon Lukens and husband, Dennis, Richard Bailor and wife, Robin, Laurie Tusing and husband, Jeff. He is also survived by grandchildren, Nicole Bailor and fiancé, Keith, Courtney White and husband, Ross, and great-grandchildren Everly, Lillian, Anderson and Allie, as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Steve was also preceded in death by a brother, William "Billy" Bailor. John graduated high school in 1967. He worked for his dad as a farmer on the family farm and at Bailors Sawmill in East Waterford. He was a member of the Faith In Christ Community Church in East Waterford. Steve's hobbies included working on his son's race car, hunting, fishing, he was an avid NASCAR fan. Steve especially loved spending time his family, and most of all with his with his great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, March 21, 2025, from the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 100 Bridge St., Mifflintown with Pastor Gerald Miller officiating. Interment will follow in the Union Cemetery, Mifflintown. A viewing will be held from 1:30 p.m. Friday, March 21, 2025, until the time of service at 2:30 p.m. the funeral home. For those who desire, memorial donations in Mr. Bailor's memory may be made to the Faith In Christ Community Church, P.O. Box 32, 32 Main Street, East Waterford, PA 17021.
