John was a proud veteran of the United States Army. Following his military career, he embarked on a successful journey as a business owner, running his own construction company for over ten years. John found peace and happiness in fishing, spending countless hours by the water, where he felt most at home. John's greatest pride was his grandchildren, with whom he shared a deep bond. He was also a passionate music lover, finding comfort in melodies that resonated with his soul.
John is survived by his children, John Barela Jr., Julia Espinoza, and Michael Barela, 10 grandchildren, and 1 great-granddaughter. John will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
