John Anthony Barile, 84 of Johnston passed away Sunday, September 15, 2024, in his home. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Antonio Barile and Maria (Scungio) Barile. He was the husband of the late Margaret (Travers) Barile.
John was employed for 40 years for the Providence Journal, starting part time delivering papers, then going on to assembly and distribution. He was then employed by Coro Jewelry Incorporated for many years in shipping and receiving. Lastly, before retiring, he enjoyed working for Benny’s in the warehouse for 20 years.
John enjoyed spending time at home with good meals and a fine wine. He also enjoyed his sports, watching his beloved Boston Red Sox games & spending time with friends and family. He looked forward to his Sunday visits with his youngest daughter Lisa & going out for meals or ice cream!
He was the devoted father to his two daughters, the late Lori Ann Barile formerly of Newport, & Lisa Marie Barile of Providence. He was the brother to the late Simmaco “Sammy” Barile, and Mary Louise Barile. He was the devoted uncle to niece Cynthia Barile & nephew David Barile, they enjoyed spending many holidays & quality time together!
He will be dearly missed by many friends in his senior community, as well as his best friend Paul and so many others. May he rest in peace and join the rest of his beloved family in heaven.
Family and Friends are invited to attend VISITING HOURS on Monday September 23, 2024, from 5:00 – 7:00pm followed by a funeral mass at 7:00pm at the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, RI 02910.
