John "JJ" Bellew, 62, of Bethlehem, PA passed away on June 10, 2024, at his home. He was born in Bethlehem, the son of the late John J. and Rose Marie (Guinta) Bellew. John was an independent contractor for many years. He was also a talented musician and guitarist, who was known as the Valley Legend, who played in the rock band Washed and the Sarah Ayers Band, along with many others. The band Washed also performed charity events for the local homeless community. Music was his life. He was an avid sports fan, and his favorite teams were the Mets, Knicks and Jets.
He will be lovingly remembered by his sisters, Marilyn O'Fallon, Donna Davidson and husband Joseph, Jennifer Runyon and husband Kimzey, nephews Patrick O'Fallon, Joseph and Erik Davidson, Justin Runyon and niece Donielle Davidson.
Calling hours will be held from 8:30-10:00 am on Saturday June 22, 2024, at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am at Notre Dame of Bethlehem Catholic Church. Burial will be held at Holy Saviour Cemetery in Bethlehem, PA.
