As a dining aide at Country Meadows, I had the pleasure of knowing Jack, a true gentleman. He was so proud of his children and grandchildren and he often shared stories of their many accomplishments. My sincere condolences to Jack´s family and may he rest in peace.

Nothing beat driving by the back porch where Mr. Bennett would sit and catch the fresh air during warm months. I would drive by, stop, lower my window and yell, "MR. BENNETT!!!" He would smile and wave back. One of the nicest, kindest guys ever to walk past me daily. He will be seriously missed.

Jack, you stand relieved from your watch. A job well done fellow navy veteran. America thanks you for your service to our country in the defense of freedom. The USS Orca is now on station, preparing for your final journey. The final volley has sounded and taps is about to begin, ending a successful career as a nation´s defender. Smooth sailing shipmate.
