John Berardi Obituary

John Berardi

October 4, 1948 - August 12, 2025

John Berardi went home to be with the Lord on August 12th, 2025, in Lady Lake, Florida. While his passing feels far too soon, we celebrate the vibrant life he lived and the impact he made on everyone he encountered.

John was larger than life! Big, bold, and full of passion. He loved to praise and worship and carried a deep hunger for the presence of the Lord. Evangelism wasn't just something he did; it was who he was. John never met a stranger, and his boldness in sharing the love of Christ touched countless lives.

Whatever John was doing, it was always the best, the biggest, and you had to be part of it. Whether it was a new restaurant, a game of golf, or simply the way he told a story. He lived with extreme passion, yet always in a way that left you inspired.

John was also a successful salesman, bringing the same enthusiasm and energy to his work as he did to every other part of his life. His ability to connect with people was unmatched. John was employed for many years with Custom Construction Services, LLC by longtime friend, Joseph Van Bree. He proudly served our country with the United States Marine Corps from 1969-71.

Most importantly, John lived his life for Christ. He bore witness to the truth that Jesus, who died for our sins, is the only way to eternal life. His joy, his praise, and his bold testimony about the Holy Spirit left a legacy that continues to shape the lives of family, friends, and all who knew him.

John was preceded in death by his father, Anthony Berardi, on August 16th, 2001, and his dear mother, Beverly Berardi, on February 23rd, 2025.

Hope City Church, located at 212 11th Street, Racine, WI, will be holding a praise and worship service in remembrance of John on Thursday, September 18th at 4:30 PM. All friends are invited to come together and celebrate John's life and legacy alongside his brothers and sisters in Christ.

There aren't enough words to express how much you will be missed my friend. The tears still flow. My heart still hurts. I play your message just to hear your voice and then again ask why... Comfort comes because God took you. And that we will meet again. Give your sweet mom the biggest hug for me. I miss you both every day.

First knew John in little league baseball, catching his submarine pitching delivery. His was an immense talent, plus I also enjoyed his great laugh.

John was a giver. He loved eating out in many restaurants. Whenever he saw someone he knew, out dining,he would come up to the table and chat and insisted on paying their bill.He blessed many people by his giving. A few months after my wife passed in 2018,my son and I ran into him by parking lot in Sturtevant and he said "Hey guys. What's up? " And I told him we planned on going to Raiders game that night. He immediately pulled out his wallet and handed me a 100 dollar bill. "John ! That's not necessary. Too much !" John said,"no, go have dinner, enjoy the game in memory of Kathy". That was John.
