John W. Berry, age 84 of Carroll passed away Thursday, November 30, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. He was born January 23, 1939, in Gallia County, Ohio, the son of the late John and Zelma (Cron) Berry. He was a graduate of Waterloo High School, class of 1958. He married his high school sweetheart, Mona (Queen) Berry. He was a retired Kroger truck driver. He enjoyed time spent with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He loved watching NASCAR races and Game Show Network and he loved his dogs and cats.
He is survived by his children, Kim (Wayne) Harshbarger, of Lancaster, Kendra (Jeff) Collins, of Lancaster, and Kellie (Rocky) Counts, of Lancaster; foster daughter, Neva Baumgartner, of Heath; foster son, Rick (Jeannette) Shafer, of Columbus; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother, Joe and Debbie Berry; many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mona; brother Jerry Lee Berry.
A celebration of life will be held at the Central Ohio Coonhunter's Association, 6955 Coonpath Road, Carroll, OH 43112 (located east of Pickerington Road) for John and Mona on January 20, 2024 at 4:00 p.m.
